BELLE FOURCHE – Several Fall River County area high school cowboys and cowgirls this past weekend competed in the South Dakota State Finals Rodeo in Belle Fourche on June 13-16, where Thane Lockhart of Oelrichs qualified for the National Finals in the Team Roping after winning first place with a final point total of 80, following the three rounds of competition.

Watts family fares well at 54th Father's Day Invitational

HOT SPRINGS – For the first time in its now 54 year history, a mother-daughter duo won this year’s annual Father’s Day Invitational, played this past weekend at Southern Hills Golf Course in Hot Springs.

Lady Bison golfers finish in 7th place at State

DELL RAPIDS – The Hot Springs Bison girls' golf team finished in seventh place overall, out of 13 teams competing at the South Dakota Class “A” State Championship last week at Rocky Run Golf Course in Dell Rapids.
