The Hot Springs Bills recently completed their 5th season in the Black Hills Youth Football League. We had 56 boys play football this year. This season was one for the record books. Our Mitey Mite team became the first Bills team to make a Super Bowl. The score board didn’t favor us at the end but these boys played their hearts out.

Lady Moguls defeat Crazy Horse in first-round 7B playoff matchup

HART RANCH – After finishing as the seventh-seed in the 11-team field of Region 7B teams, the Edgemont Lady Moguls faced off against 10th-seed Crazy Horse in the first round of the playoffs this past Monday night, Oct. 29, in a game played at a neutral site at Rapid City Christian located at Hart Ranch.

Edgemont (12-17 overall record) defeated Crazy Horse (5-18) in three games by scores of 25-7, 25-22 and 25-11.

Bills teams each win quarterfinal games: Mighty Mites advance to BHYFL Super Bowl

RAPID CITY – For the first time ever, a Hot Springs Bills youth football team will be competing in the BHYFL Super Bowl, which is the league's biggest game of the year and the culmination of more than three months of hard work, lots of practices and weekly games.

The Black Hills Youth Football League (BHYFL) features teams across three different divisions based on age: Mighty Mites (1st-2nd grade), Junior Pee Wee (3rd-4th grade) and Pee Wee (5th - 6th grade).

Titans too much for Bison in Class 11A quarterfinals

TEA – The Hot Springs Bison football team concluded its season last Thursday night on the road in the quarterfinal round of the Class 11A playoffs versus the state's top-seeded Tea Area Titans.

Despite keeping the game close in the first half with a stingy defense that only allowed one touchdown in each of the first two quarters, Hot Springs was shutout in the end and fell by a final of 0-33.

BHYFL Playoffs begin

HOT SPRINGS – The Black Hills Youth Football Playoffs begin this weekend, and two Hot Springs Bills teams will be among them, as the Bills' fourth-seeded Junior Pee Wees will play the fifth-seeded Belle Fourche Cardinals at the School of Mines field in Rapid City on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 12 noon.

The Bill's Mighty Mite team also enters the playoffs as the fourth-seed will also play the Belle Fourche Cardinals, beginning at 8 a.m on Saturday, Oct. 27.
