HOT SPRINGS – Both teams brought their A-game in a highly competitive and entertaining volleyball matchup of two Fall River County teams this past Monday night in Hot Springs, as the Lady Bison and Lady Moguls battled through four tightly contested games in which both teams held the lead at some point in each game.

Edgemont volleyball team defeat Hay Springs, Newell

HAY SPRINGS – The Edgemont Lady Moguls volleyball team played five matches last week, all on the road, and finished with a record of 2-3 over the five day period, which included wins over Hay Springs and Newell, but losses to Moorcroft, Wall and Gordon-Rushville.

Last Tuesday, Sept. 25, the Edgemont defeated Hay Springs 3-1 by scores of 25-13, 20-25, 25-22 and 25-15.

Hot Springs JV soccer team overmatched in loss to Sturgis

STURGIS – In a rematch of their home game on Sept. 14, in which the Hot Springs JV soccer team defeated the Sturgis Scoopers 3-2, the Bison traveled to Sturgis last Thursday, Sept. 20, but were shutout by a margin of 0-3.

Winners announced in annual Climb Hot Springs event

HOT SPRINGS – This past weekend's annual Climb Hot Springs event featured competitors from as far away as New Jersey and Arizona, and as close as Hot Springs and a number of other South Dakota and Wyoming communities, as they competed in either the seven-mile or three-mile races around Hot Springs and featuring the town's historic staircases.

Bison boys finish as region runner-up, qualify for state

CUSTER – All five of Hot Springs' boys golfers qualified for the upcoming State Class “A” Golf Tournament following the team's best round of the season this past Monday in Custer, Sept. 24, which resulted in a runner-up finish in the overall Region 4A team standings.
