Hot Springs Bills 10-29-15

On October 24, at 4 p.m., the Hot Springs Bills played the Douglas Patriots in Hot Springs.
During the first quarter, the bills received a kickoff at the 40 yard line. Braden Peterson made the first touchdown, with Cameron making the extra point. This made the score 8-0.
Sigh made a 6 yard gain and then a touchdown, making the score 14-0. Sebastian Morse did a great job of tackling, while Cameron sacked a Patriot for a 10 yard loss. Jordan got the ball and ran for a 15 yard gain.

Lady Moguls Have Success During Panhandle Conference

On Tuesday, October 13, the Lady Moguls hosted the Rapid City Christian Comets for Pink Night/Parent’s Night. Thank you for filling the Mogul Dome with pink. The Lady Moguls were honored to support cancer survivors and those battling cancer by gifting them with a pink carnation. Thank you Floral Depot for donating the flowers.

Stevens Grabs RMAC Defensive Player of the Week Honors

Lacy Stevens’ (Jr. DS/L Edgemont, S.D.) efforts for the Black Hills State University volleyball team the week of September 21 landed her Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors.
The Edgemont native was instrumental in the Yellow Jackets’ 3-0 victory over New Mexico Highlands University on September 25 when she registered 12 digs. BHSU’s victory over the Cowgirls snapped a four-game losing streak.

Moguls Roll Over the Kougars

On Friday, September 25, the Edgemont Moguls hosted the Kadoka Kougars for some high school gridiron action. The Moguls upset the Kougars 50 to 28.
Congratulations to #12 Lathen Stevens for being selected the Overall Edgemont Football Player of the Game. Lathen completed 7 of 16 passes for a total of 147 yards, 18 carries for 245 yards, and had 1 reception for 9 yards. On defense, Lathen had 13 tackles and 7 assists.

On September 19, the Hot Springs Bills played on artificial turf for the first time, at the South Dakota School of Mines at 4 p.m.
The Bills kicked off first in the first quarter. Jordan Uhlir, Hot Springs, had the first touch down. Macijewski of Hot Springs, got the extra point and we had the lead 8-0.
