Dave Cortney gave awards for the football season. Thirteen boys lettered this year.
MVP and Mogul Award:
Cortney also had footballs to award to the senior boys. These footballs were signed by their teammates, had a Mogul emblem on them and a team picture.
Cortney was very tickled that the boys gave him a picture. The picture was of the team and Cortney in a huddle during one of the games. The picture was signed by the entire team.
Susan Ostenson gave the volleyball awards. The high school volleyball players were congratulated for a successful 2016 season. Players worked well together to enjoy the season and improve both individually and as a team.
The team placed second in Panhandle Conference tournament and made it to the second round of post-season play. The ladies beat Oelrichs at home for the first round of districts before coming up short against Philip. Philip was the number one seed who went on to win the 14 B district championship.
The Lady Moguls JV team ended their season with 7 wins, 6 losses, and 1 tie. The varsity team improved this year to end with an 11 win, 16 loss season.
Eleven girls came out for the high school volleyball team this year:
Elli Hollenbeck, Kenna Aldrich, and Kerstyn Juliano
Sara Barker, Jenna Ostenson, Lizzy Tidball, Emily Moore, Maddie Peterson, Abby Tidball, Avery VanEaton, and Joella Moore
Managers Roxzanne Rasmussen, Morgan Peterson, and Peyton Ostenson helped the team out this season as well.
