Golfers win in Belle, Region Meet up next

BELLE FOURCHE – The Hot Springs Lady Bison golf team added another team title to their list of accomplishments this season as they won the Belle Fourche Invitational last Tuesday, May 15, with a four-person, 18-hole score of 355. Host Belle Fourche was second with a score of 376 on their home course, followed by Spearfish with 445.

Other teams entered included Lead-Deadwood, Custer, Douglas, Rapid City Central, Rapid City Stevens, St. Thomas More and Red Cloud.

Edgemont Moguls sending five girls, two boys to compete in seven events at State Class B

KADOKA – The Edgemont Mogul girls' and boys' track & field team will be sending four individuals and two relay teams to this week's State Championship in Spearfish and Rapid City, following their performances last Thursday, May 17, at the Region 7B meet in Kadoka. The qualify for state, competitors needed to finish in the top-two in each event, or meet the minimum qualifications for event during the regular season.

Baseball team has best game of the season versus Todd County

HOT SPRINGS – The Hot Springs Bison baseball team had by far and away its best game of the season last Tuesday, May 8, at home versus Todd County.

Despite ultimately losing in extra innings (nine total innings) by a score of 8-11, Hot Springs head coach Mike Remington said he had, “never been more proud of a team than the team we put on the field last Tuesday.

Competing in two meets in a week is nothing new for the Hot Springs track team and it is not unusual to compete in completely different weather situations as well.
