Basketball Season Opens at Home This Weekend

The 2016-17 EHS boys basketball team will be led by All-PAC Honorable Mention selection, letter winner, and team captain, Kaleb Darrow (5.7 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 1.2 APG) when the Moguls begin the season this weekend with home games against District 14B opponents New Underwood and Wall. Both days will tip off at 2:00 pm.

Pro Rodeo:
The National Finals Rodeo (NFR) is tonight. It will be aired on CBS Sports. Remember that there are ten rounds of the NFR. As results become available, we will try to keep you posted. The top 15 in each event will be in Las Vegas, NV chasing after a world title.

2016 Fall Sports Awards

Dave Cortney gave awards for the football season. Thirteen boys lettered this year.
MVP and Mogul Award:

Cortney also had footballs to award to the senior boys. These footballs were signed by their teammates, had a Mogul emblem on them and a team picture.
Cortney was very tickled that the boys gave him a picture. The picture was of the team and Cortney in a huddle during one of the games. The picture was signed by the entire team.

During the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping in Mulvane, Kan., Jess Tierney placed fifth in the first round, with a time of 17.9 seconds. During the third round, Tierney and Shay Good split sixth and seventh, with a time of 13.3 seconds. Tierney placed second in the fourth round, with a time of 10.2 seconds. Lady Moguls Finish Season

The Lady Moguls went into the post-season earning a match at home against the Oelrichs Tigers on November 1. The Lady Moguls were excited to play in front of a hometown crowd to open Districts.
They came out strong, but the Tigers weren’t going home without a fight. The Lady Moguls were victorious in five sets: 25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 14-25, 15-10.
